His two victories came in 2008 and again in 2015, while he added runner-up finishes in both 2023 and 2024. Even during seasons when he didn’t reach Victory Lane, Busch routinely put himself in contention, finishing fifth or better seven times.

Among every track on Busch’s Cup Series résumé, Sonoma ranked as his 17th-best average finish. Considering he competed at more than 35 different venues throughout his career, it remains one of the strongest statistical tracks of his inevitable Hall of Fame career.
