Kwankwaso sues Primate Ayodele over alleged defamation

The Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Vice Presidential candidate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has dragged the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church Cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, over defamatory remarks.

In a letter shared on X by his legal team, Magaji Mato Ibrahim, SAN & Co., the former Kano State governor demanded an immediate retraction and apology from the cleric over the allegations.

The letter stated that the development follows a viral video recorded during a live-streamed church service, where the preacher made allegations targeting Kwankwaso’s integrity as Peter Obi’s running mate under the NDC.

DAILY POST recalls that Primate Ayodele had warned Obi that his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, would negatively affect his presidential ambition.

The legal team quoted the cleric as stating: “Kwankwaso is a fake to Obi, Kwankwaso will betray you.

Kwankwaso has been paid to be Vice President to Obi, among other libellous comments, while pretending to be a preacher.”
