Kickoff time, TV network now set for Georgia football game vs. Vanderbilt

Georgia football‘s game on Saturday Oct. 3 now has a kickoff time and TV network determined.

The No. 2 Bulldogs will play Vanderbilt at 12:45 p.m. in Sanford Stadium. The game will be shown on the SEC Network.

Saturday is Georgia‘s homecoming game. It already was set for an early afternoon start, but the time slot and network was announced until Saturday night after games were completed.

Georgia (4-0) drilled Oklahoma 41-13 in Athens. Vanderbilt (3-1) lost at Auburn 21-15.

The Commodores have beaten Austin Peay, Delaware and N.C. State. The 35-31 win over the Wolfpack came after Vanderbilt recovered a fumble in the end zone in the final seconds when N.C. State was trying to run out the clock and take a safety.

The Vanderbilt game will be Georgia’s third early afternoon start and second 12:45 p.m. home game this season. Georiga’s 70-20 win over Western Kentucky on Sept. 12 also started at that time.
