Kevin Love jokes about getting high, watching Kenyon Martin highlights
Kevin Love lives and breathes basketball, even when he partakes in recreational drugs.
The five-time All-Star joined “The Richard Show” with former teammate Richard Jefferson, so they could reminicse about the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA championship 10 years later. But during the interview, Jefferson asked about the last thing Love watched on YouTube.
“Sometimes I get really high and watch Larry Bird highlights,” Love said. “Or like the old ’86 Celtics … Bad Boy Pistons. I love that era. And then if I get really high, I’ll watch the early ’90s Blazers or (Arvydas) Sabonis highlights.”
He didn’t stop there. The next rung on his ladder of highness includes a Cincinnati Bearcats legend.
“But then if I get really f—ing high, it’s Kenyon Martin, it’s Richard Jefferson and then just lobs from Jason Kidd,” Love said with a smile.
Martin, a University of Cincinnati Athletics Hall of Famer, was a part of back to back NBA Finals teams on the New Jersey Nets with Kidd and Jefferson in 2002 and 2003, and he led the team in scoring during the 2001-02 season.
The Nets lost both finals appearances to the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antono Spurs.
