Kerim Alajbegovic delighted to score in the Europa League

Kerim Alajbegovic was among the goalscorers as Juventus dominated NEC in a fine evening at the Allianz Stadium, securing an impressive 5-0 victory in the Europa League.

The youngster had been a standout performer for Juventus against Sassuolo at the weekend, and he kept his place in the team with Kenan Yildiz still unavailable because of injury. His opportunity to continue in the starting lineup gave him another chance to demonstrate his quality.

Speaking after the game via Tuttomercatoweb, Alajbegovic reflected on his goal, the team’s performance and Juventus’ hopes for their Europa League campaign.

“I’m really proud of my goal, we’re delighted to have won 5-0 after playing very well. We want to continue like this. I was close to scoring last week too, but the most important thing is the team’s victory. Our Europa League journey began today and we want to continue it well.”

The result provides Juventus with an ideal start to their Europa League journey, while Alajbegovic can take confidence from another strong display. With Yildiz still injured, the youngster has continued to make the most of his opportunities.

His recent performances against Sassuolo and NEC have given Juventus another reason to be encouraged by his development. Alajbegovic will now hope to maintain that level whenever he is called upon.
