Kentucky vs. South Alabama game discussion and pregame reading

The Kentucky Wildcats are back in action today as they welcome the South Alabama Jaguars to Kroger Field. Sitting at 2-1, the Cats return to Lexington looking to avoid a letdown game after a massive win over the Texas A&M Aggies last Saturday in College Station.

South Alabama comes into Lexington at 2-1 on the year. With a duo of running backs anchoring the offense, stopping the run game will be crucial for Jay Bateman’s defense to keep the Cats from getting put on upset alert. They will also need to watch for big plays in the passing game as the top two receivers for the Jaguars currently average over 11 yards per catch.

For the offense, it will be about continuing the momentum from the second half in College Station last week. Especially in getting some more plays from different receivers as we head into the heart of SEC play. Add in the hope to see some different guys get more reps to help with depth, and things should hopefully continue clicking on offense.
