Kentucky gets a prediction to land a top international player

The Kentucky Wildcats have gained a lot of momentum in recruiting over the past few weeks. They started by landing Milan Momcilovic from the transfer portal, then got a commitment from top ten 2027 recruit Ryan Hampton. Now, international recruit Nikola Kusturica could be headed to Lexington as well.

Recently, it was reported that Kentucky had entered the picture for Kusturica, looking for him to fill their final roster spot. A number of other schools are also interested, including Louisville and North Carolina. However, the Wildcats might be the leaders now.

Travis Branham of 247Sports has officially made a prediction for Kentucky to land Kusturica with a “high” confidence level. Obviously predictions don’t always work out, just ask Kentucky fans, but it’s great news for the Wildcats.

Kusturica is a Serbian talent currently playing in Spain for FC Barcelona. He’s considered one of the top prospects for the 2028 NBA draft, and has proven, even at 17 years old, that he can compete on a big stage. He was the MVP of the 2025 FIBA U16 Eurobasket Tournament, averaging 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game.
