Kano NDC chairman calls for stronger security after attacks

The Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, Husaini Isah Mai Riga, has called on security agencies to strengthen efforts to protect residents following recent attacks by gunmen in Yankamaye community of Tsanyawa local government area and Lakwaya community in Gwarzo local government area of Kano State.
The appeal was contained in a statement signed by Adam Said Adam, Personal Assistant and Media Director to the NDC chairman, and shared on the party’s Facebook page on Saturday.

Mai Riga said the protection of lives and property should remain a top priority for the government.

“The protection of lives and property is a responsibility that requires the government’s full attention, as it remains one of the most pressing needs of the people,” he said.

The NDC chairman also sympathised with victims of the attacks and prayed for those who lost their lives.

“Hon. Husaini Isah Mai Riga prayed for continued divine protection over the lives and property of the people of Kano State, and asked that God continue to support and safeguard the state from all forms of evil,” the statement added.
