[JUST IN] South Africa: Fifth Batch Of Evacuees Arrives In Lagos

The Federal Government’s evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa has crossed another milestone as the fifth batch of returnees arrived in Lagos on Thursday evening.

The Air Peace flight brought home over 180 Nigerians, after a technical issue prevented the aircraft from departing as scheduled yesterday.

With this latest arrival, the number of citizens evacuated from South Africa following the recent xenophobic attacks has now risen to about 1,000.
