Julian Ward about to agree sensational transfer to replace Florian Wirtz

Julian Ward is on the verge of replacing Florian Wirtz with a sensational transfer.

Liverpool are slowly giving up on an investment that was one of the most significant ones in the club’s recent history.

When the Reds signed Wirtz, it didn’t seem like it was going to head in this direction. It seemed like a huge victory. Beating Man City and Bayern Munich to his signature. If anything, it felt like Liverpool got a bargain deal.

Wirtz was one of the best players on the planet. He was the leading star of the Bundesliga. He was the player to get, the best available player on the market.

But that is not the Wirtz we’ve seen at Liverpool. The Wirtz at Liverpool is a player completely devoid of everything that made him great in the Bundesliga.

Why things are going wrong for Florian Wirtz

There are a multitude of factors as to why Wirtz has struggled at Liverpool. It’s probably a domino effect. It started with Wirtz not really suiting Liverpool’s style of play.

That was followed by Wirtz being frustrated and struggling to receive the ball in the areas where he thrives.

And now it’s led to Wirtz being devoid of confidence. He just doesn’t even seem capable of beating his man in one vs one situations. Let alone to be able to pull off a through ball or a clever pass.

At this stage Wirtz is so low on confidence and so lost, he’s struggling to control simple passes, giving the ball away to the opposition.

It’s just been a really poor start to the season for him and it looks like there is no way to redeem him.

Liverpool close to agreeing Wirtz replacement

Now there are strong reports emerging from Mexico that Liverpool are the favourites to sign Gilberto Mora. Some have even suggested that the Reds are very close to agreeing a deal for the youngster.

The Mexican wonderkid has caught the eye with his talent.

Despite not even being 18-years-old yet, he’s played just under 5000 minutes for club and country. He has become a linchpin for his team at club and international level.

Where does he play?

In an attacking midfield role. Exactly, the same position that Wirtz is occupying for Liverpool at the moment.

So you put two and two together, you consider that Liverpool are really serious about getting Mora’s signature and it’s easy to see what that means.

Julian Ward is clearly looking to sign him as a Wirtz replacement, or at the very least competition to push the German. It’s going to be a sensational deal, but it looks like Ward is about to agree to it.
