Jones, Skattebo, Tracy among players injured in NFL's Week 7

MIAMI, Oct. 26 (UPI) — Aaron Jones Sr., Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr. were among the NFL players injured in Week 7.

Injured players will be evaluated this week to determine the extent of their injuries and potential timelines for return. Jaylin Noel, Rashid Shaheed and T’Vondre Sweat were among other NFL players injured in Week 7.

Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell told reporters that Jones aggravated a previous knee injury in the fourth quarter of a 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in Minneapolis. He did not return.

Jones totaled 26 yards off eight carries. Fellow Vikings running back Jordan Mason totaled 68 yards off 15 carries. He was in for 38 snaps, while Jones was in for 15 snaps.

The Vikings (6-0) will face the Detroit Lions (4-2) on Sunday in Detroit. The Colts (2-5) will battle the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) on Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.

Skattebo and Tracy each were injured in the New York Giants’ 27-21 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday in Houston. Tracy exited in the second quarter with a hamstring injury.

Skattebo was injured on his final run of the game, a 41-yard scamper in overtime against the Texans. He told ESPN that he “felt something” in his hamstring during his long run.

Texans coach DeMeco Rays said wide receiver Jaylin Noel sustained a turf toe injury in the loss.

Skattebo totaled 124 yards and a score off 17 carries for the Giants. Tracy totaled 15 yards and a score off six carries. Giants running back Devin Singletary ran for 41 yards and a score off five carries. He also caught three passes for 14 yards.

The Giants (4-2-1) and Texans (2-5) will be on bye in Week 8.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed was ruled out due to a knee injury he sustained during a win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Seahawks running back Velus Jones also departed due to a hamstring injury.

The Seahawks (4-3) will host the Chicago Bears (5-2) on Nov. 2 in Seattle.

New York Jets defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat sustained a knee injury during a loss to the Miami Dolphins. Dolphins cornerback JuJu Brents (stringer) also exited early.

The Jets (2-5) will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in East Rutherford, N.J. The Dolphins (1-5) will host the New England Patriots on Sunday in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Carolina Panthers coach Dave Canales said offensive tackle Taylor Moton sustained a fractured fibula in a 43-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in Charlotte, N.C. Canales said Moton “will be out for a while.”

The Panthers (3-3) will face the Green Bay Packers (4-3) on Thursday in Green Bay, Wis. The Buccaneers (2-5) will host the Atlanta Falcons (3-4) in Week 8.

Baltimore Ravens guard Olaivavega Ioane (knee) and New Orleans Saints safety Justin Reid (concussion) were among other NFL players injured in Week 7.

The Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) will host the Dallas Cowboys (2-4) in the NFL’s Week 7 finale at 8:15 p.m. EDT Monday in Philadelphia.
