John Wall on his relationship with Bradley Beal during their time together: “It was no inner issues. I think the problem is when you have two guys that is very talented and good at the same type of position basically, they both want to be Batman. And somebody has to accept the role of being Robin. You look at like a Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Klay don’t play like Steph. So he never had to worry about being Batman. He is a catch and shoot guy, defender. Steph is the all-world player. You look at Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, that is why they left out of the first place because if I am Kyrie, I am coming in as a rookie, winning rookie of the year, I am an All-Star. Yes I am winning because you here, we going to finals, but nobody giving me my credit for what I have been doing. And you trying to establish yourself as a young player.”
