Jets running back Isaiah Davis will miss some time with a knee injury, coach Aaron Glenn announced Thursday.

Glenn did not specify the nature of the injury but said it is not serious.

“He had a minor knee [injury],” Glenn said after practice, via Dennis Waszak of the Associated Press. “He’ll be out maybe a couple of weeks, but he’ll be back. I’m confident that he’ll be just fine going into the regular season.”

The Jets open the regular season on Sept. 13 at Tennessee.

Davis, 24, is entering his third NFL season after the Jets selected him in the fifth round. He is expected to have a complementary role behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen while being a core special teams player.

He had career highs with 236 yards rushing and 21 receptions last season in 16 games before missing the season finale with a concussion.

In two seasons, Davis has rushed for 410 yards and a touchdown on 73 carries and caught 30 passes for 261 yards and a score.
