The New York Jets got some very concerning news on Monday at practice, as running back Breece Hall went down with an injury that, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, was non-contact.
Understandably, Jets fans were in a panic after this news broke. Their star running back might’ve just sustained a serious injury. So, fans eagerly waited for news from Aaron Glenn.
Fortunately, as Connor Hughes of SNY reported, Glenn’s update on Hall was not a bad one. Instead, Glenn revealed that Hall’s groin injury is not believed to be a big issue.
Jets get good news on Breece Hall’s practice injury scare
“It’s a strained groin, Aaron Glenn tells reporters at practice, and he doesn’t believe it’s a big issue,” Hughes reports.
This is a massive piece of positive news for the Jets, as instead of potentially losing Hall for a long time due to a non-contact injury, it’s not a serious problem, according to Glenn.
That’s a huge sigh of relief for Jets fans, as the initial report of a non-contact injury for Hall at practice was, understandably, met with doom and gloom.
Hall might still miss a bit of time due to his strained groin injury, but it’s not the major concerning injury fans initially thought it could be.
It’s still not a good thing that Hall is banged up, but this report from Glenn on his star running back’s health is a good sign he shouldn’t miss much time due to injury.
Hall is coming off a 1,065-yard campaign with four touchdowns in 2025. With a brutal offense, Hall’s production was impressive. Now, with this year’s offense that should be a lot better, there’s optimism for Hall’s production this upcoming season.
This injury issue nearly put a pause on any Hall hype, but with Glenn’s positive update that it’s not a serious injury for Hall, the star running back shouldn’t miss much time, if at all, this season.
