Jeremiah Smith stats vs Texas: Buckeyes WR grabs Heisman spotlight

If anyone still doubts whether Jeremiah Smith is the best player in college football, the Ohio State receiver is doing his best to dissuade them of that notion.

The third-year star is showing why he was the No. 1 overall player of the 2024 recruiting class and a potential consideration for the same honor ahead of the 2027 NFL Draft. Against No. 3 Texas under the lights of primetime, Smith put up eight receptions for 164 yards and a 23-yard score through three quarters.

Conversely, Texas quarterback Arch Manning had only 97 yards through the air when the teams headed to halftime.
