Jeremiah Smith breaks Ohio State all-time receiving yards record

Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has broken the all-time school receiving yards record of 2,898 previously held by Michael Jenkins. Smith set the new mark by catching a pass in the first quarter of the game against Kent State on Sept. 19.

Smith entered the game needing 26 yards to pass Jenkins, who set the record in the 2003-04 season.

Before the Kent State game began, Smith was 27 receptions and six touchdowns away from breaking two other all-time receiving records for the Buckeyes.

If he forgoes his last year of college eligibility after the 2026 season, Smith is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2027 NFL Draft.
