JAMB opens portal for candidates to update lost phone numbers, emails

Select the SIM Swap/Email Change option

Under the Penalties section, candidates should choose “SIM Swap/Email Change Penalty Payment” to proceed with the request.

Pay the required fee

The prescribed fee for the service must then be paid through the JAMB portal.

Visit a designated JAMB office

Once payment has been completed, the candidate is required to visit the nearest designated JAMB office to continue the process.

JAMB said the service is available only at designated JAMB PTC/PRC Centres.

Provide profile details

At the JAMB office, the candidate will be required to provide their profile code and existing GSM number for verification.

Complete biometric verification

The candidate will undergo biometric verification to authenticate their identity and support the request.

Submit the affidavit

A scanned copy of the court affidavit will also be uploaded as part of the requirements for completing the update.

Who is eligible?

JAMB said the procedure is specifically intended for candidates who have genuinely lost access to the GSM numbers or email addresses registered on their profiles.

The board also stated that the service can only be used once. Candidates are therefore expected to ensure that the new contact information they provide is accurate before completing the process.
