JAMB explains how candidates can change phone number, email on portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has outlined procedures for candidates seeking to update the phone number or email address linked to their profiles.

According to information on JAMB’s platform, candidates who have forgotten their profile passwords can reset them using their registered phone numbers.

To do this, candidates are required to send “PASSWORD”, followed by a space and their registered email address, to 55019 or 66019.

However, candidates who wish to change their email address cannot complete the process directly through the JAMB portal.

Such candidates are required to visit a JAMB office or an accredited Computer-Based Test, CBT, centre for assistance.

They are expected to provide relevant registration details and the new email address they wish to use, after which the request will be processed by authorised personnel.

JAMB advised candidates to ensure that any new email address provided is active and accessible, as important admission and examination-related information may be sent to the email linked to their profile.

The examination body also noted that candidates can access correction-of-data services through its official channels, while some profile updates may attract prescribed fees and require physical verification at accredited centres.

Candidates experiencing difficulties with their JAMB profiles are advised to seek assistance through JAMB’s official support channels or accredited CBT centres.
