New York Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns had a moment while discussing their win in NBA Finals Game  2 against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. The two stars led the Knicks to a 105-104 win, as the franchise is just two wins away from winning the NBA championship.

During the press conference, Towns talked about Brunson’s “national championship” to highlight the importance of unity. Without interrupting, Brunson gestured to reporters with two fingers that he doesn’t have only one but two national titles in 2016 and 2018 with the Villanova Wildcats.

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns have Knicks on right side of history

The NBA Finals Game 2 saw the Knicks winning the game despite being down by as many as 12 points at one point in the game. However, just like Game 1, they handled themselves well in the final two quarters to secure a result which historically confirms their chances of winning NBA championship.

Brunson had 20 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals. Meanwhile, the Knicks forward finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

In order for the Knicks to lose the NBA title, the Spurs will need to rewrite history books, as no team in Finals history has ever been able to rally back from a 2-0 deficit after losing both opening games at home. The win on Friday extended New York’s 13-game winning streak in the playoffs.
