Jaguars place 2 players on PUP list to begin training camp

· · 1 min read

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have placed offensive linemen Cole Van Lanen and Garrett DiGiorgio on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) to begin training camp.

Players who begin training camp on the PUP list can be activated and return to practice at any time once medically cleared.

Van Lanen suffered a knee injury during the Jaguars‘ Week 18 game last season and missed the playoff matchup with Buffalo. He did not participate in the on-field work during offseason programs, and we do not know what the timeline for his return looks like.

Likely in Van Lanen’s place until he returns is Walker Little.

Van Lanen played all over the offensive line last season, seeing snaps at every position except center. He then secured the starting left tackle job, filling in for Little, who was briefly sidelined.

As the Jaguars’ starting left tackle, Van Lanen didn’t surrender any sacks from Weeks 14-18. Out of 84 tackles, he ranked 21st in run-blocking grade during that span.

Jacksonville signed Van Lanen to a three-year extension late in the season.

DiGiorgio, meanwhile, signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL draft. He played nearly 3,200 offensive snaps at UCLA and has experience at both tackle and guard.

DiGiorgio will likely be an interior lineman at the NFL level. The injury that he is working through has not been reported.
