Jaguars 53-man roster projection on first day of training camp

The first training camp practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars takes place on Wednesday, but before the players take the field, let’s put together our initial 53-man roster prediction.

Things can certainly change over the next month of practices and preseason games, but given what we know at this time following offseason programs, here is how I see the final roster shaking out.

Trevor Lawrence, Nick Mullens

I don’t see Mullens’ job as the backup being in jeopardy, given his experience. The Jaguars rostered only two quarterbacks last season.

Bhayshul Tuten, Chris Rodriguez, LeQuint Allen

Unless the Jaguars roster a fourth running back, as they often did in 2025, this room is pretty well set.

Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, CJ Williams, Josh Cameron

The Jaguars will have six wideouts with Travis Hunter, but he still only accounts for one roster spot. Williams and Cameron performed well in the offseason but will have to show they can help on special teams.

Brenton Strange, Nate Boerkircher, Tanner Koziol, Quintin Morris

Hunter Long is the odd man out with Koziol largely able to fill a similar role. I chose Morris over Long because of his special teams contributions and ability as a blocker.

Cole Van Lanen, Ezra Cleveland, Robert Hainsey, Patrick Mekari, Anton Harrison, Walker Little, Wyatt Milum, Emmanuel Pregnon, Jonah Monheim

Chuma Edoga was left off the roster. Little and Milum are options at left and right tackle, while Milum and Pregnon are backups at guard.

Josh Hines-Allen, Travon Walker, Danny Striggow, BJ Green, Zach Durfee, Wesley Williams, Arik Armstead, Albert Regis, DaVon Hamilton, Ruke Orhorhoro

I went heavy and kept all six defensive ends, and then light at defensive tackle, rostering only four. Someone will have to emerge to secure that fifth spot.

Ventrell Miller, Foye Oluokun, Dennis Gardeck, Jack Kiser, Branson Combs, Jalen McLeod

The Jaguars rostered six linebackers last year, and beyond figuring out if Miller or Combs is starting next to Oluokun, we will see McLeod, Parker Hughes, and Yasir Abdullah competing for one potential roster spot. I went with McLeod because he had a strong performance in the spring and can rush the passer, similar to Gardeck.

Travis Hunter, Montaric Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Jarrian Jones, Christian Braswell, Jabbar Muhammad

Braswell saw regular playing time during the second half of last season, while Muhammad was one of the standout performers from the offseason.

Antonio Johnson, Eric Murray, Caleb Ransaw, Jalen Huskey, Rayuan Lane

This position group seems to be pretty well set.

Logan Cooke, Ross Matiscik, Cam Little

No mystery here.
