Jackson Chourio gives ESPN interview while mobbed by fans at LLWS

The big leagues took over the Little League World Series on Sunday night.

With the little leaguers taking a break, the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves came out to Williamsport, PA for the Little League Classic and put on a show, meeting with fans and the next potential generation of MLB stars at the home of the LLWS.

Fan interaction is a big deal at the Little League Classic, and star Brewers slugger Jackson Chourio did not disappoint. While being interviewed in the stands by ESPN’s Sebastian Salazar, Chourio was mobbed by fans and kept hard at work offering his autograph as Salazar continued with his questioning.

In the interview, Chourio spoke about his own experiences as a young player, his time being coached by his dad, and how locked in he and his teammates are on the LLWS action.

Salazar might be the true star of the sequence, as he managed to frame his own questions for the audience, then ask them to Chourio in Spanish, and then translate Chourio’s response back into English all while being swarmed by insistent 12-year-olds. Despite juggling all of these aspects at once, Salazar carried the conversation for four minutes and landed the plane with confidence and ease.

It’s no surprise Chourio was in a good mood — his hot bat has helped the Brewers to the best record in all of baseball with just over a month left to play in the regular season.

As for Salazer, he should keep this clip in his career highlight reel.
