Isabelle Harrison was not available to help the Toronto Tempo on the court Thursday night, but that did not stop her from making a statement before the game.
Harrison showed off her chiseled abs in a striking pregame look ahead of Toronto’s matchup against the Minnesota Lynx at Scotiabank Arena. Athlete Vanity shared photos of the 6-foot-5 forward’s outfit shortly before the opening tip.
It was another eye-catching tunnel appearance from Harrison, who has been sidelined by soreness in her left knee. Toronto officially ruled her out approximately 15 minutes before Thursday’s game after initially listing her as questionable. Although Harrison could not play, she still made sure to support her teammates while bringing plenty of personality to the arena.
Isabelle Harrison makes pregame fashion statement
Harrison has long been one of the WNBA’s most fashionable players, and Thursday’s appearance continued that trend. The 32-year-old confidently displayed her toned midsection in a pregame outfit that perfectly blended athleticism and style. Her visible abs immediately stood out as she arrived for the Tempo’s home game.

Harrison’s appearance also served as a reminder that a player does not have to be active to participate in the WNBA’s growing tunnel-fashion culture. Pregame arrivals have become an increasingly popular part of the league’s coverage, allowing players to display their personalities before turning their attention to basketball. Unfortunately for Toronto, Harrison’s night was limited to watching from the sideline.
The veteran forward was attempting to avoid missing a second consecutive game because of the knee issue, but the Tempo elected not to risk further aggravation.
No timetable was immediately provided for Harrison’s return.
Harrison’s absence is a major loss for Toronto
Toronto has been without one of its most productive and efficient players at a difficult point in the season. Harrison entered Thursday averaging 13.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks across 16 appearances. She has shot an impressive 51.8 percent from the field and 44.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Those numbers represent one of the strongest seasons of Harrison’s WNBA career. The former Tennessee standout was playing particularly well before the knee soreness emerged. She erupted for 26 points and 11 rebounds in only 22 minutes during Toronto’s July 20 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
Harrison made eight of her 11 field-goal attempts in that game, including three of six shots from 3-point range. She also converted nine of her 10 free throws. Her combination of size, rebounding and outside shooting gives Toronto a dimension that is difficult to replace. Temi Fagbenle and Teonni Key were expected to receive additional opportunities with Harrison unavailable.
Tempo face difficult test without Harrison
Harrison’s absence came at an especially inconvenient time for the Tempo. Toronto entered Thursday’s game with a 10-17 record and a four-game losing streak. The expansion franchise was preparing to face a Minnesota team that owned the WNBA’s best record at 23-6.
The Lynx had also won eight consecutive games, making Harrison’s scoring and rebounding even more valuable. Toronto will hope the decision to hold Harrison out prevents a relatively minor knee problem from becoming something more serious. With the Tempo attempting to remain within reach of the playoff race, getting one of their most dependable offensive players healthy will be essential.
Harrison could not give Toronto a lift on the court Thursday, but her bold pregame look still ensured she would not go unnoticed.
