Is Zay Flowers playing today? Ravens injury update for Week 3

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is questionable for Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys with the hamstring injury he suffered in the team’s season opener.

But after head coach Jesse Minter expressed optimism Friday about Flowers’ potential to take the Maracanã Stadium field in Brazil, including the speedy playmaker among the injured players with “a real opportunity” to help the team get back in the win column, there’s now doubt about Flowers playing.

Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that Flowers will be a “true pre-game decision” but said the team doesn’t sound as if it’s counting on him playing. Considering reports of poor field conditions in Rio, it would probably be wise to keep him out.

Flowers has an excellent matchup against Dallas, but Schefter’s report doesn’t inspire confidence. With the Ravens playing in the late afternoon window, fantasy managers should consider pivoting now if they don’t have another good option playing in that same window. For people wanting to wait it out, Rashod Bateman could be a good pickup.
