Is Myles Garrett better than Deacon Jones?

By being traded to the Los Angeles Rams, Myles Garrett isn’t just joining a team, he’s becoming a part of a rich NFL legacy. The Rams have employed several of the best pass rushers in the history of football:

Deacon Jones and Jack Youngblood on the edges. Aaron Donald and Merlin Olsen on the inside.

You could argue that this is the best defensive line you could construct from the history of a single franchise. And now you add … Myles Garrett.

Some of you reading this are too young to have watched Jones and Youngblood. Some of you reading this watched a whole lot of Youngblood and Jones, but really haven’t watched a full Browns game since the 70s. Where will the two groups of Rams fans meet?

Is the current version of a Hall of Fame edge rusher better than the one that many of you witnessed first-hand, as Jones and Youngblood dominated tackles of the 60s, 70s, and 80s?
