Is Breece Hall playing today? Injury update, Braelon Allen start or sit advice for Week 7
The New York Jets once again had a question mark in running back Breece Hall going into the Week 7 game against the Miami Dolphins.
Hall has not suited up in a game since Week 3, when he came down with a quadriceps injury.
However, Hall showed progress this past week when he was able to log a pair of limited practices before drawing a questionable tag on Friday.
Here’s what we know about Hall’s chances of suiting up on Sunday afternoon.

Is Breece Hall playing today?
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Breece Hall is not expected to suit up against the Dolphins, although Rapoport does leave the door slightly ajar for him by noting Hall may work out before kickoff to see if he can go.
“Jets star RB Breece Hall, attempting to return from a quad strain after missing three games, is unlikely to play today, sources say. He may work out to see if he can go, but Hall hasn’t been a full participant yet. It’s a bit early,” Rapoport reported.
This was the expectation going into the weekend after Hall didn’t log a full practice during the week.

It simply makes no sense for the Jets to rush him back, especially with how well Braelon Allen has played in his absence.
Braelon Allen start or sit advice
Speaking of Allen, he’s a definite starting option this week.
Allen has notched over 41 carries for 194 yards and a touchdown on the ground and three catches for 26 yards through the air over the last two games.
In that span, Allen ranks as RB9, according to Fantasy Pros, and he’s RB18 overall since assuming lead back duties in Week 4.

Adding more fuel to the fire that Allen needs to start, he is squaring off against a Miami Dolphins defense ceding the second-most fantasy points per game to backs in 2026, according to CBS Sports.
No-brainer decision here. Allen should be in lineups this week.
Verdict: Start
