Iraola wants Scott as first Liverpool transfer

According to talkSPORT, Liverpool could make a move for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old was signed by Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth in 2023, and with the Spanish manager now in charge at Anfield, a reunion has been suggested as a possibility.

Scott has made 80 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth, scoring four goals, and his performances have also brought him into the England jersey. He was named in Thomas Tuchel’s provisional World Cup squad, though he missed out on the final 26-man list.

TalkSPORT pundit Alex Crook said the “noise seems to be growing” around a possible move to Liverpool. He added that Scott would be a good fit for the Merseyside club, while pointing out that Bournemouth want to keep him.

The Cherries are keen to tie Scott down to a new long-term contract, with his current deal running until 2028. Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes was also involved in bringing the midfielder to Bournemouth, which could add another link if the Reds decide to firm up their interest.
