The shot-stopper began his youth career at Amsterdamsche FC before making the move to FC Volendam where he broke through to become the club’s number one. After two seasons as a first team regular, Van Oevelen has now made the move to the Premier League to join the Tractor Boys.

“As soon as I knew Ipswich were interested, it was a move I knew I wanted to make,” the 22-year-old on joining the club.

“I’m excited to be here and continue my career in England and learn from everyone at a big club like Ipswich. It’s an exciting time for the club, being back in the Premier League, and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started.”
