The Hawkeyes are up to No. 15 nationally. It’s a five-spot rise for Iowa.

Iowa quarterback Hank Brown threw a touchdown pass to Tony Diaz and ran in another score, Braeden Jackson had his second kickoff return touchdown of the season, and the Hawkeyes’ defense limited Northwestern and backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol to 286 yards of offense.

L.J. Phillips Jr. had a big day for the Hawkeyes, too, rushing for 128 yards on 21 carries.

Unbeaten UCLA is the Big Ten’s highest-ranked team at No. 4, Indiana is No. 5, USC is No. 14, Oregon is No. 19, Ohio State is No. 20. Fellow Big Ten squads Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are receiving votes.
