‘Invaluable’ – Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA and women’s sports praised

Chantell Preston, the co-founder and owner of League One Volleyball franchise San Francisco Signal, has been speaking about Caitlin Clark’s impact on women’s sports.

Clark was drafted into the WNBA by the Indiana Fever back in 2024, going on to enjoy a prolific rookie year, which saw her break the records for most points and assists in a debut season.

Caitlin’s notoriety has continued to grow in the following couple of years, and her impact on the league as well as women’s sports in general has now been called ‘invaluable’ by Preston.

Speaking to Fox News, she said: “Caitlin Clark’s done some phenomenal things for women’s sports as a whole.

“What Caitlin Clark has been able to do and the visibility that she’s brought to the WNBA has been invaluable to not just the WNBA, but all sports.”

The Indiana Fever star’s stock has continued to rise this season, and she is gaining more opportunities outside of the WNBA.

For example, she is now working with Nike and is due to release her own shoe collection later this year.

Clark’s collection features Taylor Swift-inspired shoes, which the singer is said to like.

The Fever ace also recently debuted two pairs of Nike Caitlin 1s that use Team USA colours ahead of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup getting underway this week.

The US will kick off their tournament against China on Friday, and Clark is expected to feature.
