Insecurity did not start with Tinubu’s administration – Umahi

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, says the insecurity in Nigeria did not start in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking with journalists, the minister noted that insecurity increases whenever elections are approaching.

He appealed to Nigerians to desist from politicising the security situation, noting that security is everyone’s business.

“It’s appalling when people talk about insecurity, especially extreme politicians, and insult President Tinubu.

“Insecurity didn’t start with this administration. It is very unfortunate. Security is the job of everyone. Security should not be politicised.

“Why is it that anytime we are approaching elections, there is heightened insecurity? It is very unfair. Anyone who takes the life of another person under any guise, God is watching,” he said.
