Ireland batting updates
- Ireland lose their first wicket as Rana removes Tector. A back-of-a-length delivery and Abhishek takes an easy catch at mid-wicket.
- Arshdeep now joins the party and gets the wicket of Adair. No timing on that shot, and Tilak takes the catch at extra-cover.
- Prince picks his first international wicket, and Tucker has to go back to the pavilion. An outside edge to the keeper, and Kishan is happy to collect.
- Ireland find themselves in trouble after losing two quick wickets. Shivam Dube was allowed to impress, and he has struck gold by dismissing Calitz and Delany.
- Tector scores his 8th T20I fifty, and Ireland are looking to post at least 160 on the board. Could be a competitive score on this seaming wicket.
- A superb return for Prince on his debut as he posts figures of 3/22 on his T20I debut. Ireland just fall short of 160, and India should chase down the total quite comfortably.

Pre-match:
All the talk before the game has been about the 15-year-old batting sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who could become India’s youngest-ever international debutant if he is named in the playing XI.
Fans expected Sooryavanshi to make his debut in the first match of the series, however, the management did not want to disturb the combination up top, that fetched India the T20 World Cup 2026 only a few months back.
After the loss in the first match, though, the Indian think tank could consider reshuffling the batting order and slot in Sooryavanshi in the playing XI for the series-decider.
Meanwhile, Lorcan Tucker will continue to perform the captaincy duties for Ireland and the new skipper is off to a dream start, having led his country to a first-ever win over India across any format.
