‘I’m heartbroken’ – Vinicius Jr’s partner, Fonseca laments death of bodyguard, wife in accident

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr’s partner, Virginia Fonseca, has paid tribute to her bodyguard and his wife.

The couple, Rogerio Camilo Ramos and Paula Regina Rodarte Camilo, tragically lost their lives in Brazil due to a road accident earlier on Monday.

As reported by The Sun, Rogerio and Paula were involved in a deadly car crash in the Ribeirão da Posse region, located in the municipality of Guapo, Brazil, while traveling along the BR-060 highway.

Fonseca’s bodyguard was behind the wheel and passed away around 9 am, while his wife suffered a cardiac arrest later in the day and could not be revived.

On Instagram, Fonseca shared a heartfelt message paying tribute to the couple. She wrote, “Earlier today, I received the heartbreaking news about Camilo (our private security guard) and his wife. I refrained from posting anything sooner as we were waiting for all family members to be informed, but since I heard the news, I have been unable to focus on anything else; my heart is shattered. Life is indeed fleeting, and in times of grief like this, words often fall short – particularly when confronted with events we cannot fully understand. All we can do is place our trust in God’s plan.

“Camilo, we will forever be thankful for the care, protection, wisdom, purity, and boundless love you consistently provided to our family. Your presence was a sanctuary, and your memory will remain etched in our hearts eternally. We believe that you and Paula will now serve as guardian angels for little Heloísa, watching over her from above. Here on earth, we will support the family to ensure she never feels alone, nurturing her with all the love you always shared. May God grant solace to the hearts of all family members, especially to Heloísa.”

Fonseca and Vinicius Jr attended the Madrid F1 Grand Prix on Sunday, September 13, which was won by Kimi Antonelli, who started from P2. Real Madrid player Arda Guler was also seen at the event alongside his partner.
