‘I’m gonna…’ Sophie Cunningham’s true feelings on Enes Kanter, Royce White’s WNBA declarations

Sophie Cunningham reveals what she truly thinks of former NBA players Enes Kanter and Royce White declaring for the WNBA Draft.

Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham stirred up one of the biggest debates in the WNBA when she stated that the W should only allow female athletes.

For some reason, this statement had fans divided, and the likes of Enes Kanter and Royce White took advantage of this.

How? Well, they claimed that if the WNBA didn’t have a clear transgender athlete policy, they’d like to enter the league next season.

Despite the unclear league policy, the two ex-NBA players’ wishes to declare for the 2027 WNBA Draft were declined.

But what does Cunningham think of their behavior toward the W in the past few weeks? She gave an honest answer, per The New York Post.

“I’m gonna let them do them. I’m just focused on the Fever and on our sport. I think we have four more games left. I’m trying to just really dial in and keep the main thing the main thing,” Cunningham said.

In simple terms, Cunningham is least bothered about what Kanter and White are doing as she’s focused on helping the Fever finish the regular season on a strong note.

To be fair, that’s the best way forward as it’s the WNBA leadership’s job to make the final call on whether transgender players should be allowed in the league or not.
