IGP Disu approves fresh police postings, names new PPROs
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the deployment of newly appointed Police Public Relations Officers, PPROs, and Public Relations Liaison Officers to designated commands and formations throughout the Nigeria Police Force.
On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, released an official statement announcing the assignment of the officers to their respective commands and formations.
According to the statement, the postings are designed to reinforce strategic communication capabilities, facilitate improved public access to reliable police information, and strengthen collaboration with media outlets and other key stakeholders.
The statement specifies: “Accordingly, SP Johnson A. Doghudje has been assigned as Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 5, reachable at 08038773657; SP Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji, anipr, has been assigned to Zone 11, Osogbo, reachable at 09152481510.
“Furthermore, DSP Orchia Adndongu has been assigned to the Benue State Police Command, reachable at 07013495466; while DSP Imah Unwana Victor has been assigned to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), reachable at 08038281577.
“Additionally, ASP Abdulaziz Maharazu has been assigned to the Police Academy (POLAC), reachable at 07064684936; ASP Yusuf Adamu Aliyu has been assigned to the Yobe State Police Command, reachable at 08136394230; while ASP Haruna Rashid Umar Abdullahi has been assigned as Public Relations Liaison Officer for the FCID Annex, Gombe State, reachable at 08130313033.”
The IGP instructed the newly deployed officers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and accuracy in executing their responsibilities.
Additionally, he directed the officers to guarantee the prompt distribution of authenticated information and sustain productive interaction with the general public and media representatives.
