IDP Rookie Profile: Kaleb Elarms-Orr in Redraft Leagues

We are diving into some fantasy football content this offseason as we look to bring in all sorts of football fans to Bucs Wire. While offensive players often dominate fantasy football discussions, IDP leagues continue to grow in popularity and offer another way for fans to enjoy the game.

What we will start with is some rookie profiles and where they fit into the landscape of the teams that drafted them. Next up is Buffalo Bills linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr.

Elarms-Orr enters the NFL after a strong final college season at TCU, where he showed major growth as a downhill defender. His range, physicality and blitz timing give Buffalo a developmental linebacker with special teams value and early-down upside.

Elarms-Orr has the range and downhill trigger to eventually carve out a role in Buffalo’s defense. He plays fast when his reads are clean, closes ground quickly, and has shown enough blitz ability to be used in specific packages.

The issue is opportunity. Buffalo currently lists him behind Dorian Williams at weakside linebacker, with Terrel Bernard locked into the middle. That puts Elarms-Orr in more of a reserve and special teams role entering his rookie season.

Still, there are traits worth monitoring. His speed, toughness, and growth as a run defender give him a path to earn coaches’ trust if he continues developing his processing and coverage awareness.

Elarms-Orr is not a redraft target in standard IDP leagues right now. His projected role is too limited, and he will need injuries or a major depth chart shift to become fantasy relevant as a rookie.

The long-term appeal is more interesting. He has the tools to become a useful rotational linebacker and special teams contributor, but his coverage limitations and inconsistent processing could keep him from becoming a full-time player early.

For 2026, fantasy managers should view Elarms-Orr as a deep watch-list player rather than someone to draft.
