I will defeat Tinubu in 2027 – Makinde

The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has declared that he will defeat the incumbent president, Bola Tinubu, in the 2027 presidential election.

Makinde made the declaration on Monday.

DAILY POST reports that Makinde is the current governor of Oyo State.

Makinde, who spoke in Ibadan, the state capital, explained that he would triumph over Tinubu in the election because God, the people of the state and Nigerians in general were behind the party.

He made the declaration when he received some members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who joined the APM.

DAILY POST gathered that the APC members who joined the APM came from different parts of the state.

Makinde, while addressing the gathering, advised the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, to channel his efforts towards contesting against the APM candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi.

He said he would win the forthcoming presidential election and defeat Tinubu in 2027.

He advised the APC candidate to stop criticising his administration.

Makinde, while speaking, said: “God has signed off on what we are doing, and that is why it is raining.

“Today, we are welcoming thousands of APC members into the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), and this shows that our victory is only a matter of time. We will win massively in all elections in 2027.”
