Huddersfield Giants marked their final game at the Accu Stadium with a big victory over Castleford Tigers in Super League.

Giants are moving to Dewsbury Rams’ Flair Stadium from next season and will groundshare with the Championship club.

Their last campaign at Huddersfield Town’s stadium has been one to forget, although the win did take them above Cas for a 12th-placed finish in the table.

Tries from Taane Milne, Tristan Powell, Connor Wrench and Jacob Gagai gave the Giants a 24-6 lead at the break, although their first half was marred by a red card to Fenton Rogers for an elbow to the head.

With a man advantage in the second half, Daejarn Asi added to Liam Hood’s first-half score to reduce Castleford’s deficit to 12 points.

But Cas, who have endured a miserable 2026 themselves, were unable to find any momentum after Hood crossed and Zac Woolford stretched Huddersfield’s lead with their fifth try.

Departing Australian Gagai finished an excellent pass from Adam Clune and Lewis Jagger dived over for Huddersfield’s seventh try.

Tui Lolohea was also faultless with the boot, adding seven goals, as Giants passed 40 points in the league for only the second time this season.

Jordan Lane barged over for a Cas consolation late on before Milne notched Giants’ eighth try just before the hooter.
