How to watch India warm-up game in Sri Lanka live stream, TV channel, start time for tour opener

India are set to begin their Sri Lanka tour with a three-day warm-up match against an Sri Lanka Cricket XI team on Friday, which serves as the sole practice match ahead of the Test series.

Two Tests will be played in Sri Lanka, starting from August 15 in Galle. The second and last test will be played from August 23 at SSC in Colombo.

India would be keen on giving a good start in this new-look team after preparing themselves via the practice match.

Although the outcome of the practice match won’t make it to the official records, it is bound to play an important part in the preparation of Indian batting and bowling line-ups for the first Test match.

What time does India warm-up game in Sri Lanka start?

The Tour Match between Sri Lanka Cricked XI and India will be played at Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Play is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. local time (SLST), which translates to 10:00 a.m. IST on Friday, August 7 for viewers in India.

Sri Lanka Cricket XI vs India team news, squads

Sri Lanka Cricket announced a 15-player squad captained by Sonal Dinusha for the three-day preparatory game against India. The team consists of a mix of seasoned international players and promising domestic talents such as Nishan Madushka, Vishwa Fernando, Lahiru Kumara, Ramesh Mendis and Pavan Rathnayake.

The squad also includes seven of Sri Lanka’s Test team players for this preparation match before the two Test matches against India.

India skipper Shubman Gill is likely to play in the practice game despite injuring his thumb during training. The game will also give India a chance to sort out their combination before the two Tests, with Auqib Nabi set to play his debut after replacing the injured Jasprit Bumrah.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana were both ruled out earlier, while Washington Sundar and Sai Sudharsan also picked up injuries and Sudharsan’s availability is set to be subject to a fitness clearance from the BCCI CoE.
