New York extended its postseason winning streak to 13 games on Friday night as Jalen Brunson hit a go-ahead free throw with 9.5 seconds left after a turnover by Spurs star Victor Wembanyama in its 105-104 Game 2 win.

The streak is the second-longest in a single postseason in NBA playoff history, trailing only the 15 straight victories by the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 playoffs. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Brunson and Mikal Bridges each went for 20 points and six assists. Brunson also added five steals in the victory.
Wembanyama’s potential game-winning jumper at the buzzer was off the mark as the Spurs became just the third team to lose the first two games of the NBA Finals at home, joining the 1993 Phoenix Suns and 1995 Orlando Magic. Wembanyama scored 22 of his game-high 29 points in the second half while also grabbing nine rebounds and blocking four shots. De’Aaron Fox added 20 points and five assists.
The 1993 Suns eventually lost to the Chicago Bulls in six games, while the 1995 Magic went down in a sweep to the Houston Rockets. The last team to come back from a 0-2 deficit to win the title was the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, one of only five teams to pull off the feat. Game 4 of the series is set for Wednesday night in New York.
This is a great NBA matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
