'How did Tinubu graduate before his school was established?' - Atiku camp blasts Shettima

· · 1 min read

The camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has fired back at Vice President Kashim Shettima over his comments on the certificate of President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement by Atiku’s senior media aide, Phrank Shuaibu, on Monday, the camp asked how Tinubu graduated before the school he attended was established.

Shettima had criticised Atiku over his proposal to restore the petrol subsidy, questioning his ability to manage Nigeria’s modern economy.

The Vice President stated that Atiku studied hygiene but cannot differentiate between Ebola and flu, arguing that his proposal would return the country to poverty.

In response, Atiku’s camp challenged Shettima to explain how Tinubu graduated before the school was established instead of defending him, adding that Shettima’s defence of Tinubu’s certificate cannot hide the truth.

According to Atiku’s camp, Shettima should have used the occasion to explain how the Federal Government plans to address the rising cost of living instead of questioning Atiku’s qualifications.

“While Shettima debates school records, families are skipping meals, workers cannot afford the journey to work, and his government calls their suffering reform.

“How did Tinubu graduate before the school he attended was established,” Atiku’s camp asked.

The statement comes after Shettima defended Tinubu saying his certificate issue is not important.

Atiku’s camp said Nigerians deserve to know the truth about Tinubu’s education history.

Meanwhile, the exchange has sparked debate on social media with many Nigerians responding to the question.
