Giannis Antetokounmpo has been traded, and the NBA Draft is officially over, but the NBA trade market is just heating up.
We’ve heard Jaylen Brown’s name brought up in recent weeks, especially since the Giannis-Heat trade went down, but a former all-star is the newest name to emerge as a potential trade candidate this offseason.

Shams Charania and Marc Stein reported details on the Hornets‘ hearing trade offers on guard/all-star LaMelo Ball.

Stein confirmed that the two teams with trade interest in Ball at the moment are the Timberwolves and Raptors.
The Timberwolves recently pulled their name out of the Ja Morant sweepstakes, so it appears they could target LaMelo Ball to pair with Anthony Edwards in Minnesota’s backcourt.
Ball played 72 games last season, the second most in his career in his six seasons played so far. In the 2025-26 season, he averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists.
Ball has yet to play in a playoff game, but that could definitely change if the 24-year-old is traded to the Timberwolves.
Reports say Ball is happy in Charlotte, but the Hornets are hearing offers on their former overall pick.
