In a post on his verified X handle, Obi celebrated the Hausa community and its contributions to Nigeria.

Obi made the post in commemoration of the International Hausa Day.

He said the Hausa people have made significant and lasting contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria through their culture, traditions, enterprise, agriculture, scholarship, public service and dedication to community.

The former Anambra State governor stated that Nigeria’s diversity remains one of its greatest strengths and that its shared future depends on recognising and respecting the contributions of every community.

“I warmly congratulate the Hausa community across Nigeria as they observe their Day in Daura, Katsina State. The Hausa people are the pillars of Nigeria’s progress.

“This celebration is not only a moment to honour a proud heritage but also an opportunity to reaffirm the bonds that unite us as Nigerians.

“As you celebrate in Katsina, I wish you peace, prosperity and a renewed sense of hope. May this occasion bolster our unity and inspire us to build a Nigeria where every citizen, regardless of ethnicity or background, has equal opportunities to flourish,” he tweeted.
