Gov Alia celebrates First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at 66

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, on Monday, Governor Alia described the First Lady as a compassionate woman whose commitment to humanitarian service has made a meaningful difference in the lives of Nigerians.

Alia commended Tinubu’s dedication to the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, which has provided interventions for women, youths, widows, orphans, senior citizens and other vulnerable members of society.

The governor praised her efforts in economic empowerment, particularly her support for petty traders and small-scale entrepreneurs, which he said had created opportunities for Nigerians to improve their livelihoods and family welfare.

He also acknowledged her interventions in healthcare and education, including medical outreaches, assistance to communities affected by violence, maternal health advocacy, HPV vaccination promotion and menstrual hygiene initiatives for schoolgirls.

Speaking on the First Lady’s support for communities affected by violence in Benue, Governor Alia said:

“We appreciate your humanitarian interventions, particularly your assistance to our communities affected by armed herdsmen attacks and other difficult circumstances.

“Your efforts to keep girls in school, expand opportunities for young people and promote skills acquisition demonstrate a sustained interest in investing in the human capital of the country.

Your commitment to supporting vulnerable Nigerians and advancing opportunities for women, youths and children also remains a valuable contribution to the development of the country.”

The governor prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the First Lady, wishing her many more years of good health, wisdom, strength and fulfilment in service to the nation.
