Golden Eaglets fall 4-2 to Australia in China invitational tourney

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets lost 4-2 to Australia in their second game at the Four-Nation Invitational Tournament in China.

It was the Golden Eaglets’ second defeat of the competition following the 3-2 loss to Tanzania in their opening fixture.

The former World champions have now scored four goals, and conceded seven times in the competition.

Uwejamomere Eboboritse’s side will face hosts China in their last game of the competition on Saturday.

The tournament is part of the Golden Eaglets’ preparation for the WAFU B U-17 Championship in September.

The WAFU B tournament will serve as the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
