Oliver Glasner has confirmed Nikola Milenković and Igor Jesus will both miss Nottingham Forest’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace, while Neco Williams is also a doubt through illness.

Milenković had recently returned from injury and featured in a friendly during the international break, but suffered a knee problem.

“Nikola Milenković, he returned from an injury and played in the friendly, which was all good, but he injured his knee in a duel and he has a bruised bone,” Glasner said.

“He will miss the game; it’s very painful, so he can’t train.”

Igor Jesus is facing a longer spell on the sidelines after suffering a calf injury.

“The other is Igor Jesus,” Glasner added.

“He has a muscle injury in his calf and he will be out for a few weeks. That’s not what we wanted.”

Williams, meanwhile, is a doubt after falling ill despite initially returning from international duty in good condition.

“He returned well and trained with us yesterday, but he didn’t feel well,” Glasner said.

“He had a fever in the night and was not available today, but we will see how he recovers tomorrow.”

Glasner also played down the impact of the international break on the rest of his squad, with Forest’s returning players coming back fit.

“The internationals came back well and fit,” he said.

“It’s been an intense period for the international players, but this is the same for every Premier League team. You just have to deal with it.”
