Malik Nabers had firm confidence in his breakout performance happening throughout the New York Giants’ 36-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
Nabers is going through the sophomore campaign of his budding NFL career with the Giants. Despite an injury to co-star Jaxson Dart, the star receiver looks to remain productive and explosive in the offense.
Fortunately, he got that wish against Arizona. Nabers commanded the receiving corps with six catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. The receiver reflected on his performance after the game, commenting on his belief ahead of the Week 4 contest.

“I knew it was coming this game. Everybody was asking me. I was like, ‘I just felt good through the whole week.’ I just didn’t want to jinx myself, so I was just trying to be humble and wait for the game to come to me,” Nabers said, via reporter Jordan Raanan.

How Malik Nabers, Giants played against Cardinals
Malik Nabers and the Giants continue to exceed expectations despite all the injuries. Beating the Cardinals in Week 4 is another example of the strides they have made to start the season under head coach John Harbaugh.
New York got off to a slow start as Arizona scored the first two touchdowns of the day, leading 14-3 after the first quarter. The hosts fired back with a 16-3 display in the second period. New York controlled the momentum for the rest of the day, beating Arizona 17-7 in the last 30 minutes of regulation.
Jameis Winston committed mistakes earlier in the contest, but he made a lot of big plays to get the win. He completed 18 out of 29 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns and two interceptions.
Cam Skattebo led the run game with 18 carries for 58 yards. Isaiah Likely had a great receiving day with seven receptions for 66 yards, while Malachi Fields and Theo Johnson caught touchdown passes.
The Giants will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Washington Commanders in Week 5 as kickoff commences on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. ET.
