The New York Giants delivered an epic walk-off pick six to defeat the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. But entered Monday feeling disrespected by a “dumb” situation per Cam Skattebo.

The physical star running back called out the oddsmakers who felt Arizona was the favorite in that contest.

“I think that was kind of BS,” the verbose Skattebo told reporters Monday. “But this is our home. This is our house. These guys love each other, we know we have to protect our castle. And we got it done.”

Skattebo and the Giants are off to a much faster start in the first season of the John Harbaugh era. But he continued to rag on the oddsmakers who listed NYG as the underdog “especially when you’re a good football team.”

Skattebo added: “People want to bet against you at your own place. And you got a team coming from a six-hour flight, on a time change too, it’s a pretty brutal feeling when as a team, you’re put underneath them. We came out here and handled business.”

So now the Giants turned to “disrespect” to surpass a Cardinals team also enduring a coaching change, with Mike LaFleur leading them. New York settled for 319 total yards on the afternoon, but mustered just 87 rushing. Skattebo ended the contest with 58 yards on 18 carries. Najee Harris added nine carries for 30 yards.

This Giants team also rolled without franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart, who sat out with his devastating knee injury from the Los Angeles Rams loss in week two. Now the G-Men will aim for a 4-1 start against NFC East rival Washington on the road.
