The San Francisco Giants have been one of the biggest disappointments in all of Major League Baseball this season, thanks in part to a bad offense.
At 26-38, the Giants are 15 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West, and 8.0 games out of the NL Wild Card. But, they’re on a three-game winning streak, and it’s been thanks in part to a pair of Grand Slams that helped make some history.
As Sarah Langs shared on Twitter/x, the Giants became just the eighth team in MLB history to hit a grand slam against three different opponents during one single road trip.
Giants join grand slam MLB history with seven other teams
“Grand slams against 3 teams on a single road trip: 2026 Giants: COL, MIL, CHC. 2023 Astros: LAD, STL, TEX. 1987 Mets: MON, PIT, CHC. 1973 Angels: CLE, NYY, MIL. 1962 Yankees: MIN, KC, LAA. 1950 Yankees: SLB, CLE, DET. 1945 Pirates: PHI, BSN, BRO. 1941 Yankees: WAS, SLB, CHW,” Langs shared.
Facing the Chicago Cubs on Friday, Matt Chapman hit a grand slam in the 18-3 blowout win for the Giants. That was the third straight road series in which the Giants have hit a homer.
In the series prior against the Milwaukee Brewers, in the seventh inning, Eric Haase hit a grand slam to make it 10-3, giving the Giants the blowout lead and eventually the win.

Then, to close out May, in a 19-6 blowout win over the Colorado Rockies, Willy Adames homered in the fifth inning to make it 11-3.
That’s three straight series, all on the road, where the Giants have hit a grand slam. Each came in a blowout win where they scored 12, 18, and 19 runs, or 49 runs total in three games.
The Giants will return to San Francisco after this Cubs series, and facing a shaky Washington Nationals pitching staff, it’s entirely possible this Giants team could hit a grand slam for a fourth-straight series, though the road streak would be snapped.
