Get to know the Kentucky football roster: No. 83 Prince Jean

The summer days are flying by, and we’re getting closer and closer to the start of the Kentucky Wildcats football season, the first under coach Will Stein. As it goes by, we are counting down the days until game one, and getting to know the players on the roster. With 83 days remaining until the start of play, we’re taking a look at No. 83, Prince Jean.

Jean is a 6’1″, 187 lb wide receiver out of Georgia. He was rated three stars by 247Sports and ranked as the No. 831 overall player, and the No. 112 receiver on their composite board.

Interestingly, Jean committed to Kentucky back in December, when Mark Stoops was still the head coach. After the coaching change, Prince elected to stick with the program and Coach Stein. His versatility will serve him well in the new offensive system.

Jean is expected to provide depth as a freshman, especially in the slot, but he lined up outside as well during spring practices. He even had a highlight reel catch in the spring game.

Kentucky has plenty of talent at the receiver position, so Jean’s ability to move around benefits him. Whether it’s this year or next, he is set to be a contributor for the Wildcats.
